I'm curious why people hold this as science, it's as ridiculous to the rational mind as creationism.

Evolution is also so unscientific, science is supposed to be reproducible right? The only application of the scientific method, Genetics, disproves evolution.
Don't we have any alternative to this? Anyone?
The science of evolution is reproducible and you infact hear about it daily in the news, especially with this bird flu. I am not sure as to where you would get such an obsurd idea but if you can provide me with references to such claims I assure you that I can explain these to you properly in a scientific light
