I am a witness of seeing images appearing in front of my eyes out of nowhere. When I was Agnostic, I say Jesus on the cross and my other friend who also was that but with a Jewish background also saw it. He said, "It's just a picture." I think that when the mind fears death up to a point, it makes us see things that aren't there. I've also witnessed stuff like this earlier in my life. Actually I've noticed these "paranormal" happeneings at a total of three times. Has anyone else ever seen things that appear that seem to surpass regular reality? _________________ The Mirror. |

Hi!
I dont know if you've already encountered the word but (if my memory serves me well) I think its pareidolia; which by definition means:
| Quote: | a psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus (usually an image) being mistakenly perceived as recognizable. Common examples include images of animals or faces in clouds, seeing the man in the moon, and hearing messages on records played in reverse.
|
another site defines it as:
| Quote: | | a type of illusion or misperception involving a vague or obscure stimulus being perceived as something clear and distinct. For example, in the discolorations of a burnt tortilla one sees the face of Jesus Christ. Or one sees the image of Mother Teresa or Ronald Reagan in a cinnamon bun or a man in the moon. |
For additional knowledge, please refer to the thread below:

Actually, optical illusions isn't something new, it is but a natural occurence that happens to most individuals. I too, have my own share in the past, when I saw a flash of blinding light in my bedroom taking on the form and shape of a man.
And being religious, its only but natural for me to think that this one's a spiritual vision, sent to me from heaven "bearing a spiritual message."
Good thing I didnt went out yelling to people I was "god's" chosen prophet.
Repent! For the day of wrath has come!!!
(eherm! cough*cough*)
Okay , sorry there. I was just trying to throw in some sense of humour into ya ...
Though it may sound amusing, this is what naturally happens when people instantly believe in anything they see, hear and feel without giving prior and in-depth study. So don't worry, I can relate to the feelin---but please, get a hold on reality and don't buy it like most people do---cos I know you surely dont wanna end up losing your head over a very insignificant "experience."
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
Rai
